O’RUSSEY KANDAL COMMUNITY

Swim in the water rapids

O’Russey Kandal was once a popular destination for international visitors. Today, however this site is mostly popular with Khmer visitors, but there is no reason why foreigners should not enjoy it. There are plenty of opportunities for cycling and walking.”

1 – 2 DAYS STAY

O’Russey is next to the Mekong River that offers lots of opportunities for a day trip. If you are adventurous you can cycle through the local forest along the Mekong to Ou Chralang, where you can observe the Irrawaddy Dolphin. Then returning to camp near the stream.  On the second day you can go for a walk/trek along the water, observing differences at this slower pace

The best way for independent travellers to visit the site is to hire a motorbike/scooter for a day.
